I work with adults, teenagers, and couples in a collaborative, conversational style to hold a safe and spirited space. Many people seek psychotherapy for help with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship issues, compulsions, or unresolved trauma. Others may not be able to readily name what brings them in but feel stuck in any number of life’s ordinary difficulties and don’t know what to do. There is no one right outcome to therapy. We will work together to foster emotional honesty, relief from shame, and a restored sense of vitality.
In particular, I have a special interest in working with millennials as well as general issues related to immigration, cultural assimilation, and generational conflict. I also like to expand our work to include elements of movement and the natural world when appropriate.
I received a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Brooklyn College, and completed advanced clinical training in psychoanalytic therapy with the Stephen Mitchell Relational Study Center. My prior work experience includes community mental health and student counseling at a small college.
My personal interests include modern art, writing, and swimming.
