Meaningful, personal, and dynamic psychotherapy still exists and, when pursued thoughtfully, is incredibly valuable. Sometimes, our culture insists therapy is something to be streamlined into an app or “optimized” by AI. Mutual presence and a commitment to staying with you on a a wild and unpredictable course is the human-thing analytic therapy offers in the chaos of our digital lives.

I work with adults, teenagers, and couples in a collaborative and spirited style to access deeper process and exploration. Many people seek psychotherapy for help with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship issues, compulsions, or unresolved trauma. Others may not be able to readily name what brings them in but feel stuck in any number of life’s ordinary difficulties and don’t know what to do. We will work together to foster emotional honesty, relief from shame, and a restored sense of vitality.

I have a special interest in working with millennials generally, and with issues related to cultural assimilation, creative realization, and multi-generational trauma and conflict.

I received a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Brooklyn College, and completed advanced clinical training in psychoanalytic therapy at the Stephen Mitchell Relational Study Center and the Karen Horney Clinic. My prior work experience includes community mental health and short term therapy at a university counseling center.

My personal interests include fiction, clinical and creative writing, and swimming.
